PARTNERS

The project partners were chosen in accordance with their stated interest in improving students' digital literacy, which was the result of local analyses carried out. At first, the partnership was established between Romania and Greece, whose profile and areas of knowledge are similar - a focus on the improvement of digital skills through the development of mobile applications. In the next stage, the two countries used social media and e-Twinning to start looking for schools with the same interest. In this way, we found the schools in Italy, Turkey and Poland. Among the criteria for the selection of partners were the willingness to participate, the profile of the school and of the students, the age of students, the promptness in replying e-mails and posts and then the contribution to the development of the project idea.
The coordinating school presented the project idea, a draft of the timeline of events and the contents of the transnational meetings, after which all partners were invited to contribute with ideas. Therefore, all the partners have brought their contribution in the pre-application stage.
Two of the schools, Italy and Romania, have experience in Erasmus+ projects and Comenius. The school in Poland has Comenius experience, but the schools in Greece and Turkey have no experience of this kind. However, each school has had a lot of regional and national projects which have offered them the necessary skills to organise their activities, identify the material, financial and human resources. The more experienced schools will observe and advise the less experienced ones in the implementation of an Erasmus+ project. Moreover, due to their expertise in the topic, the school in Greece will bring an invaluable contribution to the project.
Each partner will be assigned a set of common tasks, while the coordinating school will also have additional duties, as follows:
Romania (coordinator):
- ensures the overall management, implementation and communication at the level of the partnership
- creates the communication groups - Facebook, Whatsapp
- organises online meetings before each transnational events (Skype)
- creates template documents for partners to fill out - meeting reports, risk identification, evaluation and monitoring, dissemination
- coordinates the elaboration of the initial and final questionnaires which will be applied in every school after the approval of the project. This will serve the purpose of measuring the overall impact of the project.
- establishes deadlines and a communication and cooperation strategy
- manages the EPRP and Mobility Tool
- coordinates the intermediary and final reports
- coordinates the impact study and the coursebook "Mobile apps for schools", one of the key results of the project

Therefore, the project was elaborated to respond to the needs of our students to acquire and improve their know-how in terms of developing mobile applications, a skill which they will use even after the school years, no matter what careers they may choose to follow. We want to ...
